in front和in the front都需要加of再加可数名词复数，表示在……的前面，但二者又有区别：
in front of 表示广义的在……之前，没有空间范围的限制，反义词是behind.例如:
1.Tom sits in front of me.汤姆坐在我的前面。
2.There is a beautiful garden in front of my house.我家前面有一个美丽的花园。
in the front of表示在一定空间范围内的前面，反义短语是in the back of.
例如：
The blackboard is in the front of our classroom.黑板在教室的前面。
The national flag is in the front of the playground.国旗在操场的前面。


in front of在…前面，如：
There is a tree in front of the house.房子前面有一棵树。
He sits in front of me.他坐在我前面。
in the front of 在…前部(在某范围以内)
如：There is a big desk in the front of the classroom. It's for the teacher.
教室的前部有一张大桌子，是老师用的。

at the front of 在…前部与in the front of同意
at…强调“前部的某一点” in强调在…范围的前部
如：There is a man boating at the front of the boat.船的前部有一个人在划船
